Our Adoption Letter

Thank you for taking the time to read about our family. We admire you greatly for looking into adoption for your baby. We pray that you might find comfort and guidance as you explore your options. Our hope in writing this letter is to give you an illustration of our family. Our goal is to be absolutely open and honest in order to give you a complete picture of our intentions and desires as parents.

We met in the fall of 1995. We were goofy high school kids looking for something fun to do on a Friday night. We didn’t attend the same school so we were each out with a friend. We ended up crossing paths while cruising Main Street. Some funny words were exchanged through car windows. Then Adam bought everyone milk shakes at McDonald’s and felt pretty lucky he went home with a cute girl’s phone number. We became great friends and enjoyed hanging out together. By the end of high school we were completely inseparable. We continued to date for a couple years after high school and couldn’t imagine life without one another. On May 15, 1999, we were married in American Fork, Utah at the Mount Timpanogos Temple.

We value education and both worked hard to graduate from college. Adam graduated with a Bachelors Degree in History and Business Management. Denise graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting. Professionally, Adam has been selling real estate for the last twelve years. He loves working with people and enjoys the freedom this profession offers. Adam works out of our home and has great flexibility with his schedule. Denise currently does accounting work from home. She does payroll and bookkeeping services for a sales and marketing company. We love that both of us are at home the majority of the time. This provides us the best opportunity to watch our family grow.

We were blessed with Eliana in 2007. She has been a joy to us. We try to spend as much time as possible as a family. We love family vacations. Whether it’s a mini road trip or a cruise, we have a blast when we get to spend time with each other. Beyond travel, we spend a lot of time in the mountains, hiking, camping, riding four-wheelers, fishing, and just getting together with extended family. We also love going to the movies, swimming, and playing at local parks. We live close to our parents and most of our siblings so we get together often. Eliana loves playing with her cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

As a family we enjoy finding humor in things. Adam instigates this the most so maybe he’s a little immature but definitely fun to be around. He can find something funny to say or a prank to play all the time. One of Adam’s favorite pranks is when Denise steps out of the car. She is sure to return to a locked door. She’s learned that in order to get back in, a short public dance is in order. What Adam has come to realize, though, that as entertaining as these pranks are, he often gets to taste his own medicine. Yes, he too has had to give a dance or two in front of strangers.

Adam loves his family very much and has made them the focal point in his life. He enjoys spending time watching sports, especially basketball and football. He loves having Eliana help cheer on his teams. He is great at fixing computers and loves electronics of any kind. He enjoys talking about business, politics and law. He loves teasing and playing with Eliana, especially when she is with her cousins. He usually plays the part of monster or dragon, that is, unless they have it their way, then he is the baby or prince. He is great at teaching Eliana new songs to sing or play piano with her. He loves playing soccer, basketball, frisbee, or flying kites.

Denise is an amazing wife and mother. She is patient, loving and easy to get along with. Denise enjoys spending time cooking in the kitchen. She loves making homemade bread, cookies and family dinners. She also loves having family over for summer time barbeques. During the summer, she loves growing a garden. She spends a lot of time outside working in the yard and garden. In the fall, she likes preserving and canning the fruits and vegetables from the garden. Denise also enjoys reading books and magazines, especially those on cooking, self-reliance, photography, finance and accounting. She also loves crafts like sewing blankets, making cards and scrapbooking. She loves spending time teaching Eliana. You can often find them in the kitchen making bread or cookies. She also loves to read stories to Eliana.

Eliana is a smart and funny four year old. Some of her favorite things include; the color pink, eating chicken nuggets, playing with baby dolls or stuffed kitties, coloring, painting and playing with play-doh. She also enjoys creating art projects especially with stickers, playing soccer with her cousins, camping and playing in the outdoors. Eliana is such a sweet and compassionate girl. She will be a great big sister.

Family is the most important thing to us. Neither of us feels as though our family is complete. We are ready to welcome more children into our home. If you desire, we are willing to pursue an open adoption relationship including letters, email, photos, phone calls, or even personal visits. We hope that you will find it in your heart to consider us if or when you decide to find a loving home for your baby. Whatever you decide, may God guide and bless you.

With Love,
Adam, Denise and Eliana
